Recently we restored absolutely outstanding grandfather clock. This particular example dates from around 1750 and it is truly the best clock we have in stock at the moment. The arched dial has blind brass fretwork throughout with silvered strike / silent to top and silvered main dial. Another strong sign of quality are brass weights and brass pendulum which are very rare. The case is made of fine, flame mahogany with moulded, arched door flanked by quartet columns with brass decoration. The silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and subsidiary date dial flanked by twin windings holes and inscribed ‘ John Williams, London ‘ the striking 8-day movement. This is a truly excellent longcase clock in splendid original condition and restored movement and it will look fabulous in any office or study.
