Postage and Packaging

When it comes to transporting antiques, you can’t be more careful. We know better than anyone that each item is unique; it’s precisely that which makes them valuable, so any damage is undoable.

That is why we handle postage and packaging with the utmost care. We access each piece of furniture individually, taking into account its shape, size, fragility and distance of travel in order to find the best type of packaging and mode of transport. Through this, we ensure your item’s safe arrival in the same condition it left us, however long the journey.

However you decide to get your furniture home, do let us know as soon as possible, so that we can arrange its swift and safe transportation. And please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to hear about any of these services in more detail – we’re always happy to talk them through with you, so you can be sure you’ve chosen the best option.

Returns

If for some unlikely reason you are not happy with your purchase, we offer a full refund policy. We only ask that you inform us by telephone or email within 48 hours of receiving your package, if you wish to return it. We will then arrange a courier to come and collect it, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund. The furniture must arrive back to us in the same condition that it left us.

We deem this to be an unlikely situation though and anticipate that you will be as delighted with your purchase as we are in seeing it safely sent to a new home.

Then, you can sit back and enjoy it.

We have several delivery options available:

FREE shipping within mainland UK: England, Wales and some parts of Scotland. We work closely with a professional antiques courier, who have years of experience handling antique furniture. We ensure they know all the relevant details about each item they transport, and can promise you that they are brilliant at their job. For northern Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and any other areas outside of mainland UK please contact us for a shipping quote.

Two man delivery service: If you’re worried about receiving your furniture and setting it down without damage your end, we also offer a two man delivery service. This guarantees its protection from the moment it leaves us, right up until is it proudly in its place at home.

Global shipping: we offer a secure and insured air & sea freight shipping service. The greatest care must be taken when transporting antiques long distance, so we use a trusted company who have been delivering our antiques safely for years. All you have to do it let us know your address and we will obtain a quote for you.

Organise your own courier: if that suits you better, though we must emphasise that we can not take any responsibility for the item once it leaves our premises. If you wish to take this option, please let us know at the time of purchase.

Collect your purchase in person: We love to see our antiques leave us in the safe hands of their new owners, though again we must mention that you will be taking responsibility for any ensued damage once it leaves our premises.
